If you need a lesson on love or for Valentine’s Day, check out “I Love, Love, Love, Love, Love You” below. It’s based on Gary Chapman’s 5 Love Languages and teaches kids 5 ways to show love to others, especially their parents. It also challenges them to come up with their own ideas based on the 5 ways. This lesson is good for any age and short so there’s more time for the activity options.
I also simplified the wording to make it easy to understand for younger kids. Here’s a preview:
5 Ways to Show Love (5 Love Languages)
- Loving Words (Words of Affirmation)
- Being Helpful (Acts of Service)
- Special Gifts (Receiving Gifts)
- Special Time Together (Quality Time)
- Loving Hands (Physical Touch)
The lesson also includes 5 printables with graphics you can show to non-readers to help them visualize the 5 Ways to Show Love.
