“X-MEN: How To Be A Christian” is a Christian 101 curriculum for upper elementary children. I’m still writing it and my outline has 7 Units! I’m not sure if it will actually be that many units and not sure how long each unit will be, but Unit 1 is done!
We started it this year and our kids are receiving it well even if some of them have never heard of the X-Men! That made my leaders and I feel a little old, but we’re planning on a fun “Come in Costume” Sunday where we dress up as our X-Men personas.
Below is the Introduction lesson and Unit 1, four lessons on Worship and Prayer, which includes a lesson on the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues/different languages. I’m from a Pentecostal background and our children witness the gift of speaking in tongues during worship and prayer. That’s why I included this lesson. You can read my statement of faith on my About page.
There is a children’s workbook that goes along with the unit. You can print it back to back and give one workbook per child. An 11×17 poster is also included.
